Energy storage has emerged as a strategic response to the systemic challenges faced by modern electrical grids.

In Chile and around the world, renewable energy generation has grown at an accelerated pace, often outpacing the transmission capacity of electrical grids. This imbalance leads to challenges such as energy curtailment, where a portion of the electricity generated cannot be efficiently used or distributed.

In this context, energy storage systems—particularly Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)—offer a comprehensive solution. These systems not only enable the storage of excess energy for later use but also enhance grid stability and efficiency. Additionally, they provide essential services such as voltage and frequency regulation, made possible by the power electronics in bidirectional inverters.

At Anabática, we recognize the importance of this technology and have developed our own analysis tool, specifically designed to support precise planning, development, and decision-making in BESS projects. Below, we outline the main areas of work we offer related to these systems.
